The Saudi Red Sea Authority is the regulator of marine tourism activities, and the enabler for recreational activities. Our focus is on the development of a Red Sea Economy for the Kingdom, by stimulating the creation of a prosperous local tourism economy along Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coastline, while preserving and protecting the sea’s pristine environment.

An independent authority established by a Council of Ministers decree, the Saudi Red Sea Authority (SRSA) aims to regulate the navigational and tourist activities of cruises and yachts in the Kingdom’s Red Sea waters. By partnering with various stakeholders, the Authority will enable recreational marine activities whilst protecting the environment and ensuring its sustainability. The SRSA will boost the Red Sea economy by attracting investment, supporting SMEs, and assessing immediate and future infrastructure needs.

Saudi Red Sea Authority priorites

.1Build a comprehensive and integrated national strategy for navigational and marine activities.
.2Establish a framework to protect marine environments.
.3The SRSA will begin to review pre-existing systems, bylaws, and procedures in the navigational and marine activities sector and begin a comprehensive national project to develop these systems.
.4Establish regulation and legislation for unregulated navigational and marine activity.
.5 Unite stakeholders through a unique digital platform to engineer and automate procedures.
.6Map a comprehensive scope of work to analytically identify Red Sea navigational pathways.
.7Attract and enable investment to support key infrastructure priorities from investors and SME.
